As many of you know Camp Good Puppy has been fostering a litter of 6 Czech Shepherd puppies for Pure Mutts Animal Rescue. These puppies came to us at 2 and a half weeks old from a terrible situation and since their arrival they have been a joy for all of us to nurture and watch grow.
A little over a week ago our only male, Blue Boy, now named Sheldon aka “Shelly”, developed diarrhea and stopped eating and he kept crying. We did all the tests but weren’t able to find the source of his problem. After many trips to the vet for sub Q fluids and supportive care we finally took him to emergency at CRVS and they admitted him, put him on an IV, and did x rays and ultrasound. This morning he was diagnosed with intussusception, a segment of his bowel has telescoped onto itself causing an obstruction. Now just shy of 11 weeks his only chance of survival is emergency surgery.
Sheldon was more responsive this morning at CRVS after spending the night with IV fluids and some pain meds, almost seeming thankful for the help. He is the SWEETEST little boy and with the surgery his prognosis is really good... he cannot live without this surgery.
The surgery with pre/post op care is estimated around $6,000. We know it is a lot to ask for such a little boy but we feel he is worth it and has a whole life ahead of him once this is behind him, so were ARE asking. Please help this.
We have two ways to accept donations right now. You may donate thru ProPet if you are a current client of Camp Good Puppy, or thru PayPal to: [email redacted].
Every little bit helps. Please share this with everyone you can. THANK YOU.
Once he is fully recovered Sheldon will be looking for his forever family that he will rain happiness upon.
