Urgent Community Alert: Protect Our Children from a Convicted Predator

On March 26, 2024, Mark Coderre, a known child sex predator, was apprehended by the RCMP/SWAT team. Public records and media reports from CBC and the Goldstream Gazette confirm that Coderre, living a few blocks from Ruth King Elementary School, was previously convicted for possessing and intending to distribute grotesque child pornography.

The gravity of his crimes resurfaced on April 5, 2024, when concerned citizens uncovered court documents dating from 2006 to 2011 detailing his heinous activities. In response, our community united to spread awareness, distributing flyers daily both online and in person to inform and protect our families.

However, the situation escalated. On the evening of April 16, 2024, around 9:30 PM, a confrontation ensued between Coderre and a key community advocate, leading to a consensual fight involving several individuals. Subsequently, in the early hours of April 17, the community member who stood up to Coderre turned themselves in to the RCMP, and is now facing charges of assault. This individual, a defender of our children’s safety, now needs legal support.

We are raising $10,000 to ensure justice is served. Every dollar contributes to court filings, legal fees and pushing for a thorough legal examination of why a convicted pedophile resides in a condo among young families, just blocks from an elementary school.
