PLEASE HELP SHANNON FOR SURGERY AND PHYSIO

Hey everyone,

My friend, Shannon, got into a really bad motorcycle accident recently in Thailand. It was raining and she ended up with a severe leg injury, breaking her leg 360 degrees below her knee (called a 360 tibula plateau fracture) along with a torn ACL & meniscus.

Right now she's been advised to stay in the hospital on bed rest for 5-7 days until the swelling goes down until she will have to go through intensive surgery on her leg.

It's been really tough for her, both physically and financially. The medical bills are starting to pile up and she won't be able to work for a while. After the surgery she's going to need a lot of rehab - physiotherapy, a stay in nurse to take care of her since she can’t be on crutches any time soon, a chiropractic therapist and more hospital checkups / treatments.

So I'm reaching out to you all to see if you can help out in any way. Anything would be appreciated. Even if you can't contribute financially, just sharing this message would be a big help.

SHANNON'S UPDATE

After spending 10 days in the hospital and after surgery, my total bill came to 500,313.72 baht ($19,829.43 CDN).

My weekly checkups/wound cleaning with the doctor (not including medication) are 5,014 baht ($198.72 CDN) & physio will be around 1,500 baht ($59.45) a session & I’ve spoken with the doctor and he assumes I will be able to work again and be more mobile in the next 3-4
