Please help Shane recover from Hurricane Fiona
Donation protected
On Sunday evening, Hurricane Fiona hit Puerto Rico and my dear friend Shane received over 2 feet of rain on their property. The shed that contained 90% of everything that Shane owns including ALL of their irreplaceable art, irreplaceable family photos, commercial and residential kitchen items, brand new bicycle, and more submerged in 4 ft of water. This is a devastating loss as most of Puerto Rico still hasn’t recovered emotionally, physically or financially from Hurricane Maria yet.
As Shane has been working hard all year to save money for gender affirming surgery in January, this disaster makes the financial blow even more heartbreaking.
More floods and landslides are expected as intense rains are expected to continue until the end of the week.
Most of the nearly 1.5 million power customers in Puerto Rico remain without electricity.
It can take weeks and months for first responders and FEMA to respond and help these people.
If you are able to contribute at all to helping Shane and their community, please kindly donate, even if it’s just a few dollars. Thank you so much.
