Please help Scott Leonard's palliative care
Donation protected
Scott Leonard is a loving husband and a proud father of two children. One daughter is already married and
living far away from him. Another is a young man serving in the US Navy for a year.
Scott Leonard had also served in the US Navy for more than 10 years before he was discharged and became an RN. Then, he served at an LA County hospital, Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, as an RN staff supervisor in a psychiatric department for 22 years. He has been working hard to help and support a lot of patients and staff in the psychiatric department at Olive View Hospital. With his military experience, Scott performed well and professionally in his job as a staff supervisor for many years before he got a diagnosis of Stage 4 liver cancer in October 2021 at 57 years of age. By the time of his diagnosis, cancer had already metastasized and spread into his liver, kidneys, and some other parts of his body. Because of his health condition, he had to sign off on retirement at an early age. Therefore, he did not get enough benefits from the country at the end of his life.
At this time, Scott has been suffering from pain due to the advanced stage of cancer in his brain and multiple parts of his body. With his health rapidly declining, Nelly had to take time off of work in order to provide the necessary constant care and medical attention. Scott’s family is facing a hard time with the financial crisis. Unfortunately, due to this circumstance, Scott and his family would like to ask everyone who can give Scott support at the end of his life.
We appreciate your contribution, however big or small. Donations will be used to help cover the cost of nutrition, medication, medical equipment for home care, insurance deductibles, and any other future needs that may arise. We also know that not everyone can offer a donation. We ask you to help spread the word and also keep Scott in your thoughts and prayers for his palliative care.
Thank you so much!
