- Hi my name is Sarah and I am asking for your help here today for Scott, my ex husband and father of our children. Scott is a disabled United States Marine Corps combat veteran from Maine. He served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield and Somalia in the early 1990s. Scott and I met in 1992 while he was active duty. He has many serious health issues related to his military service that have made it impossible for him to work now. He struggles on a daily basis to meet his basic needs due to a very limited income. He is currently at risk of losing his home of 30 years, which will leave him homeless if it goes into foreclosure. Scott has recently lost his only vehicle as it is in a state of disrepair and is no longer road worthy. This has made it difficult for him to be able to attend many medical appointments he has on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. It is not easy to ask others for help and he has tried to stay afloat on his own with a very limited set income. Unfortunately his situation has become dire now. Scott and I feel that reaching out to others for this help and support may be a way to help him pay off the rest of his mortgage, with hopefully enough to purchase a safe and reliable vehicle for him.
