Please Help Save ZuZu

Hi my name is Shaina, and this is my 4 month old girl ZuZu, she loves to run and play and basks in the glory of all of the love and attention she gets from her many friends and her favorite thing to do is have her cuddle time with momma. She was a perfectly normal happy healthy puppy … until she wasn’t. The night before last my usual rambunctious playful little girl went completely unresponsive while she was laying in my arms, she started breathing short and fast and was not moving, I rushed her to the emergency room and after a few hours of pure terror… the ER Vet walked in and looked at me in a way that made my heart drop to my stomach, she told me the devastating news. ZuZu has Portosystemic liver shunt. It is a birth defect involving the blood’s circulation through the liver. Basically her liver is not filtering out the toxins and nutrients the way a normal liver would and toxins are now building

up into her blood stream therefore making her extremely sick, this diagnosis will potentially be fatal for her. She needs further testing to determine how bad the shunt is, where the shunt is, and whether or not she needs surgery. Because of the rarity of her disease she must be seen by an internal medicine specialist and the testing that she needs rack up to almost $3000. These are tests that must be done as soon as possible so I’m reaching out to all of you to please help my sweet girl. She has been such a blessing in my life and touched the lives of so many others. She is full of so much light and love and It’s not fair and she doesn’t deserve this so please, please, help me get my girl the help and care she needs I am forever grateful to all who can help ❤️
