Wilma is almost 10 years old. 5 weeks ago i noticed one of her claws turning black so took her to the vet who had no idea what was wrong & began her on antibiotics. Within 2 weeks another claw on a different foot became infected & the skin under the claw turning black. She's been booked in for an operation next week to remove the claws & dead tissue underneath, blood tests, xrays & testing of tissue etc. I've been quoted approx $2000 for all of the above with the possibility of an extra $1200+ for 2 toes to be amputated if the claw surgery is unsuccessful PLUS ongoing care. I won't know how much she will need until after her operation next week & results of tests etc..

I am on a disability pension & have no idea how i'm going to pay for all this. I'm desperate! I'm facing the horrible decision of having to have her put down if i can't somehow raise the funds as there will just be no other option if i can't.

I can't even begin to explain the distress i'm feeling, she is my entire life & all i have.

I have never asked for financial help before in my 60+ years of life but i'm swallowing my pride now & asking if there are any kind souls out there who might be able to help? I'm terrified of losing my baby, it's breaking my heart i love her so very much. PLEASE help me to help my sweet girl Wilma.
