My name is Bob Pashos. I am resident of Godfrey, IL just north of St. Louis, Missouri, an active member in my Church and local community, working for a local solar installer, and very concerned for the innocent civilians of Gaza who have been caught up in a horrible situation in the midst of the Israeli governments disastrous response to the awful Hamas attack on Israeli citizens.

I've known Haneen and her family for close to 3 yrs now. We have communicated through Face Book which translates back and forth for us as we text. We have also used Face Time on many occasions for me to be able to see them and their darling kids, who call me "Uncle Bob" ... They are good people, who just happened to be born in a part of the world that has become an endless nightmare ... with much too little food and water, and the constant fear of where the next bomb will fall and whose life the next barrage of bullets may cut short ... Nobody deserves to have to try to live like that !

They are currently just barely surviving in a tent displacement camp. Originally in Rafah, on the southern most end of Gaza, bordering Egypt, three years ago, they had a way out, via the Egyptian Hala Coordination Company - if they could only come up with the funds. I've helped as much as I can, having sent them money regularly via PayPal for the past 32 months, and am now turning to our families, friends, and other people of good will - to fill the gap. PLEASE do what you can to help !

Not enough funds were raised by the time the gate into Egypt was closed by the Israeli military, so all the funds are now going just to help them survive in this awful scenario ... Here is Haneen in her own words, back when this GoFundMe was first set up and she still had hope for leaving Gaza :

"Here in Gaza our home was destroyed in the bombing and we became homeless. My family consists of myself, Haneen Gazy Al-Najjar, my husband, Muhammad Suleiman Al-Najjar, and our 3 children. My youngest, Asid, is 7 yrs. old, Suleiman - 12, and Lama - 14.

I hope many good people will help us for the sake of my innocent children. There is death, destruction, and starvation all around us ... We, too, are in dire need of food - as very little food has been allowed in to Gaza. This is our last chance to survive this horrible war. Through this GoFundMe Campaign, we must leave Gaza so that we and our children can survive."
