Please Help Save the Heart of our Family

Hello Everyone- I am posting this on behalf of my best friend who’s beloved lab is in critical condition after being tragically hit by a car who’s driver left the scene.

On Friday morning, 10/6, at about 8AM our beloved lab jumped the fence and was tragically hit by a car. The spineless driver drove off; there are no words for humans like that. Arlo is a kind soul, he is a baby, almost 2 and the most loving, mischievous, snuggly, keeper of our hearts that a family could ask for. He is beyond loved and our family is nothing short of devastated. It was a scene no child should ever have to see. Thanks to kind strangers and my neighbor who I never met, Paige, a vet technician, Arlo was placed in my car and rushed to Cornell Animal Hospital. He is in bad shape ☹ He needs to get through the weekend with fluid around his lungs and other internal injures we are still unsure of just yet. He will need a leg amputated and his other leg surgically fixed with a plate. He is a fighter and when I was allowed to see him and held his face in my hands his blood pressure lowered. He knows what he has brought to our family, especially Mom who treats him and his other four-legged brother and sister as her children. We are looking at 20-25k to get him home. Sadly, I just don’t have that kind of money. I never in a million years thought I would ever need or ask for a ‘go fund me’ but here I am humbly asking for your help ☹ Please help me bring our baby home and pray for the next 24 hours as they will be critical.
