Hi everyone,

This isn’t something I ever thought I’d do, but I’m asking for help because I genuinely have no other option. My dog Snoopy is critically ill and the treatment he needs is life-saving but far beyond what I can afford on my own.

Snoopy isn’t even 2 years old, his birthday is coming up on August 16th so he’s still just a baby. Just a few days ago, he suddenly became seriously unwell. He stopped eating, became weak, and then passed a large amount of blood in his diarrhoea. I rushed him in for emergency treatment, and scans showed that his intestines are so badly inflamed and swollen that nothing can pass through. The vets told me that if I hadn’t brought him in when I did, he wouldn’t have survived the night.

He’s now in hospital, on a drip for hydration and medication, with a feeding tube, and is double incontinent. He also has a catheter fitted to manage his diarrhoea. He’s in intensive care and will be staying there until he improves. His condition is serious and seeing him like this so helpless and in pain is absolutely heartbreaking.

The current vet bill is already £3,400, and it’s expected to rise further as his treatment continues. I wouldn’t be asking for help if I had any other choice — but this is my only option to try and save him.

Snoopy isn’t “just a dog.” He’s my baby, he’s my world, and he is so unbelievably loved. For those who know him, you’ll know how clever, gentle, and affectionate he is, loves a cuddle, full of energy and love, and just the sweetest soul.
