Please help save Payson

The picture represents the best pal a guy could ever have! He is by me wherever I go , Golf, hardware store, naps, chores, side jobs, billiards. my constant companion! He doesn't care where we go just as long he gets to go. I love him dearly! Today a tragic accident happened. While house sitting & care taking for another pet owner & good friend, he told me to help myself to all the pears the where falling all around on the ground & the ones that were ripe in the tree. Payson was a yard or two away from doing his normal sniffing around waiting on me to leave in a few moments when the son of my friend to whom I was pet caring for, stopped by on happen stance, Payson reaction to a stranger is to immediately retreat behind me...when he did, a freak pear fell behind me & struck Payson in the back! He screamed in pain & crapped on himself from pain & fright. When I quickly reached for him he bit me! There not a mean bone in his body, so I new he was hurt bad. I rushed home to my wife & we examined him I saw right away he couldn't move his back legs :( off to the vet we went ASAP. Now we wait right now for 3 hours for testing it stands at $1200.00 just for X-rays, Med's, catheter, sedation etc. that's with pet insurance! I have never have asked for help for anything before in my life! It is with great difficulty & humility that I've decided to reach out for assistance to anyone that loves their pet like I do for help. Hard times have fallen on most everyone & my family is no exception. Please help with this exceptional family member. Your donation would be a great blessing & immensely appreciated.
