Otto is an amazing dog, he is my 2 year old baby and my stepchildren's best friend! We would be so lost without him and we want to do everything we can to save him. Covid hit our home, and caused us to be out of work for month in the middle of November and finances are unfortunately tight right now.

Our dog Otto developed a limp, we brought him to the vet assuming it was going to be some sort of leg injury. The vet did X-rays, and then told us our dog had osteosarcoma or blastomycosis. Unfortunately, both of these conditions result in a leg amputation, as the bone is already “moth eaten” and causing him an insane amount of pain, the only difference is one has a higher chance of survival.

the vet costs besides the amputation are going to be extremely Expensive and he’s going to be on a lot of medications and follow up appointments and possibly Chemotherapy

 

Osteosarcoma is a bone cancer, basically, the cancer is eating away at the bone in his leg, we go back to the vet next week to do more x-rays and see how fast it is spreading, if we (hopefully) caught it early enough there is a chance it hasn't spread but we need to be able to do the amputation ASAP to hopefully keep it from spreading.

 

This has been absolutely devastating for us and is causing so much sadness thinking about possibly losing our dog. We want to do everything we can to hopefully have many more years with him and keep him as comfortable as possible. Please help save our furbaby this Christmas.
