Please help save Nina's leg.
Donation protected
Nina has been a light in our lives since we rescued her in November. She was a street dog in Guadalajara, Mexico, and after being struck by a car, she required surgery on her front left leg. Despite her challenges, Nina's spirit has never wavered.
Shortly after bringing her home, we noticed inflammation and draining in her leg. Multiple vet visits, opinions, antibiotics, and careful monitoring gave us hope, but the infection persisted. Recently, X-rays revealed a broken screw in her leg, and after consulting with a surgeon, we learned that the infection is living between the hardware and her bone.
The good news? Nina's bone has healed beautifully! But without removing the hardware, she remains at risk for recurring infections that could eat away at her bone. The surgeon is optimistic that by removing all of the hardware, Nina will finally have the chance to heal completely and live the long, happy life she deserves.
The estimated cost of surgery is $4635.
The journey to get here has been emotionally and financially challenging, but we are committed to giving Nina the best possible chance. We humbly ask for support—whether it's a donation, a share, or just sending good thoughts her way.
