Uncle Brian’s Plea to Save His Nephew David Pereira

My name is Brian Rodrigues, David Periera’s uncle, and I am reaching out with a heart heavy with worry and desperation. My beloved nephew who is just 37 years old is fighting for his life in the ICU in India. He is suffering from severe liver cirrhosis, has been vomiting blood, losing large amounts of blood, and requiring multiple transfusions. Recently, David suffered a cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated—his mother had to watch in sheer terror as doctors fought to save her son’s life. He is now in an induced coma on a ventilator, with treatment costing around ₹1.6 lakh per day (Indian currency) which is approximately $3000 AUD a day.

David’s parents are utterly heartbroken, living every moment in fear and praying for a miracle. Our family in Australia is doing everything we can to support them and cover his medical expenses, but the costs are enormous, and every day is critical.
