Hello, I am coming here because I really need your help. I am creating this fundraiser for my mother, to help her dog Mia. In 2020 my mother worked as a nurse during the COVID pandemic, and decided to adopt Mia to help her through the extremely difficult time. In 2023, my mom was diagnosed with an Arterial Venous Malformation (AVM), in her brain for which she had to do surgery for. After her surgery my mother suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, leaving her with a permanent disability and the inability to work. Mia has been there for my mom through everything, and has been the reason my mother has been so strong. Just recently we noticed a lump on Mia’s belly and brought her in to the vet. The vet said she has a mammary tumour that is cancerous, and if she does not get it removed as soon as possible it can spread and grow, significantly decreasing her lifespan. She is only 6 years old and her and my mother deserve to have more time together. Due to my mom’s inability to work, it is extremely difficult to find the funding for Mia’s surgery.
