My name is Farhan Ribhu. I am sharing this fundraising link to support my father, who is currently in critical condition at Apollo Hospital in Chennai.

My father is a liver transplant patient. In 2023, he was diagnosed with liver cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) and underwent chemotherapy twice. In 2024, with the help of a donor, he successfully underwent a liver transplant surgery. Unfortunately, after the surgery he developed complications, including bile leakage, and had to undergo ERCP stenting five times at three-month intervals.

During this difficult time, he was also diagnosed with lung metastasis and underwent proton therapy (a type of radiation treatment).

On March 5th this year, his condition suddenly worsened and he had to be taken to the hospital in an emergency. He is now diagnosed with sepsis and is in very critical condition. Dr. said, since he is a post-transplant patient, his immune system is very weak, and the treatment will take time. Although there are signs of improvement, his recovery is slow and he will need t stay in the ICU for a long period.

The cost of his treatment is extremely high- approximately 2 lakh INR per day (around 3,000 CAD). This is an overwhelming amount for a middle-class family like ours. We have already sold our property and our family car and used all our savings to continue his treatment, but it is still not enough.

I recently graduated from a Canadian university and doing a job where I earn a very minimal amount, and I am trying my best to support my family. At the moment, there is no other source of income for our family.

With great humility, I am asking for your support to help save my father's life during this extremely difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean a lot to us and would help us continue his treatment so that he can recover at the soonest possible time.
