This is my family that I live with in the Bay Area in California. They are my youngest daughter, youngest son and youngest grandson (2 years old). I have always worked really hard to support my family. My daughter works really hard to help as well. Unfortunately I was laid off several months ago and am having a hard time securing a new job. This has had a huge impact on our family as I have always been the main bread winner contributing most of the household income. As a result we have fallen a few months behind in our rent and received a 3-day pay or quite notice from our property manager. I just used all the money we had to pay off a month of rent, but this was not enough. I need to raise at least $5,400.00 immediately to avoid being evicted from our home of 5 years this week. We have no where to go. No family or friends that can take us in. We are all really scared. 

May youngest son Tyler cannot work as he is very sick with Adult On-Set Still's Disease (https://www.webmd.com/arthritis/adult-onset-stills-disease#1). He as no real immune system as a result of the medications he takes. He spends most of his day in his bedroom. He tires easily and has on-going pain and other complications due to this disease. He will not survive living on the streets. A simple cut on a finger or a cold can become a life threatening infection for him very quickly.

The Bay Area is a very competitive area to work. It takes time to find a new job when you are laid off.  I am a highly skilled Executive Assistant/Coordinator and hope to have a new job soon. Our city is very expensive to live in. Our city has a homeless crisis with 1,000s of people living on the streets (including children) with no real help.
