Save Bubba. My Sweet Boy Is Fighting for His Life

Bubba isn’t just a cat—he’s my heart in fur form.

Every morning he greets me with a soft head-butt and that little chirpy meow. He curls up on my chest at night, purring like a tiny motor, and somehow makes every bad day feel okay. He’s been my constant companion for over 11 years my little shadow, my best friend.

Yesterday, Bubba was hit by a car.

He’s now at Burrard Animal Emergency Hospital in Vancouver with a severe broken leg, internal injuries, and he’s fighting for his life in ICU. The vets have already given him oxygen, fluids, pain relief, and a blood transfusion, but without urgent surgery and 48 more hours of intensive care, he won’t make it. They’ve told us we have only about 40 hours left before they may have to make the hardest decision.

The total cost—ICU, surgery, medications, and follow-up—is around $18,000CAD (and possibly more if complications arise).

I’ve scraped together everything I can, but I’m still thousands short. I can’t lose him because of money. Not after everything he’s given me.

Seeing Bubba in pain, hooked up to machines and too weak to lift his head, is tearing me apart. He deserves to chase sunbeams again, to jump on the couch, to curl up in my lap and purr like nothing ever happened.
