Please Help Save My Aunt’s Life from Brain Hemorrhage

My name is Mira Pokharel and I am doing this fundraiser for my aunt's treatment in Nepal. Below is the message from her daughter and my cousin, Rojina Dahal about her health situation and why we need this fundraising. Please please help save my aunt's life who is struggling very hard to survive.

Hi, my name is Rojina Dahal and with tears in my eyes, I am writing this to ask for your help to save my beloved mother, Ms. Mira Dahal, who is fighting for her life in the ICU.

On May 11, 2025, our world turned upside down when my mother suffered a severe right-sided vein of Trolard thrombosis — a dangerous blood clot in her brain that caused massive bleeding (hemorrhage). She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Since then, she has undergone major surgery: right decompressive craniectomy and tracheostomy, just to keep her alive.

But her fight isn’t over. She is still on a ventilator, still in the ICU, and has had multiple minor procedures — including removing fluid from her brain and spine — and she will need more surgeries ahead, like putting her skull bone back in place.

About my mother:

My mother is a 54-year-old retired teacher who spent her life helping and inspiring students. She was more than just a teacher — she was like a second mother to so many children, always ready to lend a helping hand or kind word. Her love for children, both in the classroom and in our home, was endless.

Our family situation:

Our family is small and struggling:

• My mother and father lived a simple life together. My father is now old and heartbroken, watching his life partner in this condition.

• My parents have only two children: me and my unmarried younger brother, who has also been shattered by this tragedy.

So far, we have already spent millions on hospital bills, surgeries, medications, and ICU care. But the costs are still rising every single day, and our savings are gone. We have borrowed and done everything we can, but it is not enough.

This is why I am begging for your kindness. Your donation, no matter how small, will help give my mother a chance at life. Every rupee you give will go toward her hospital bills, her surgeries, her medications, and her hope of returning home to us.
