Please help Mochi Virginia, Thaedra’s therapy dog, recover from a traumatic dog attack.

On Saturday, February 19th, Thaedra went to the Kula farmer’s market to shop for a few veggies. She brought her dogs along for the ride but did not bring her dogs into the market to shop with her. When she returned to the car, she leashed Mochi up and took her out for a potty break. They walked about 10 feet from the car where another dog attacked Mochi, leaving her with multiple injuries. Thaedra was left holding Mochi’s open wounds while trying to stop the bleeding. Mochi was taken to the emergency veterinarian where they explained to Thaedra that they have saved dogs that were in worse condition.

Thaedra was given the impression that Mochi had a chance of surviving so she decided to try to save Mochi’s life. However, the discovery of her injuries consisted of 6 broken ribs and they surgically removed one lung. She is slowly improving and is on oxygen at the time. Not only is Mochi a member of Thaedra’s family but she is a therapy dog who has worked in nursing homes while giving love and comfort to suffering people. Thaedra knows that Mochi deserves a chance to not have this traumatic experience be her last and is willing to rehab Mochi. However, the veterinarian bill so far has come to $11,732 so if you can help with Mochi’s medical bills that would be greatly appreciated.
