Please help save Minkey

Hi my name is Lisa. I became Minkey's mum when her breeder realised something was very wrong and couldn't care for her.She was 3 months old.

When i got her home, i couldn't believe what a state she was in physically. She was so tiny and skinny,her eye was bulging out and her back legs were really wobbly. When i took her to the vets they couldn't believe what they saw. They said there was nothing they could do to help and she wouldn't last long.

Minkey is a fighter and proved everyone wrong and is now 16 months. Since having her she has been diagnosed with short spine syndrome which basically means she is a dwarf. Her little organs are squished in her tiny body, she also has trouble with her back legs.

None of this has stopped her having a great life. She loves her food, standing by the radiator, tumble dryer and the oven for warmth lol. Chewing her bone is a favourite thing to do. also playing with her sister.

Out of the blue she has started having episodes of not being able to breath. I have gone down the medicine route but she continues to struggle. Her only option is to have a ct scan to see what is going on. This procedure cost around £2000. That is without surgery. Or have her put to sleep.

Due to her disabilities i haven't been able to get her insured.

Minkey means the world to me. I have just lost my mum and i can't bare to lose her as well.
