My poor Milo has a urinary block that is life threatening and requires immediate attention. I’ve paid as much as I could to get him the medicine and care he needs, although I had to use an emergency veterinarian in Toronto as this happened on December 26, 2019, with most vets being closed, so it was very costly.
I brought him home for two nights hoping the medication would get him going to his litter, however he is becoming unable to go anymore. I brought him back to the vet, he has been catheterized twice now and needs it a third time. Milo needs more time to recover at the vet and I simply have run out of options to pay for it. I am now using a credit company that charges 30% interest and in total have paid over $3200 to try and save his life.
Milo adopted me that day I went to look for him at the Toronto Humane Society. I have had a few cats in the past and I’ve never felt an immediate connection quite like that. It was like he was waving at me from his cage, and when i stuck my finger in, he instantly started purring and rubbing on me. Him and I have a very special relationship and have been inseparable ever since he came home with me. He is always by my side, always laying on me, playing with me, and just makes everyone in our home so happy. Even as my family has grown, he has shown to be the incredibly affectionate and sensitive towards us and others. He never bites, hisses or scratches, even the vet tells he is one of the most gentle cats they’ve ever come across. He is such a gentle soul and he is just over 1 year old.
Please help Milo overcome this condition and get the proper help he needs. He is the first cat I’ve owned on my own and he is truly like my son. I am 28 years old and I am absolutely devastated in the fact that I simply don’t have the means to help him anymore. Thank you so much to anyone that is able to help, it would mean the absolute world to us if we can help Milo overcome this and remain a part of our family. 100% of the funds will be used to help Milo’s treatment and recovery. Thank you so much again for any help you can give. My little Milo deserves a second chance at life with his family.
