Please help save Jax!
Jax is a 6 year old Dane/Shepherd mix. My best friend, Steve, found him chained to a tire in a Baltimore City alley. Starving and dehydrated, Jax could barely move. Steve was able to free Jax of the chains and get him to a vet. Steve adopted Jax once he was fully recovered, and Jax has been a loving member of the Smith family ever since.
5 years later, Jax is now in critical care at a local veterinary hospital. After weeks of tests, he was diagnosed with Endocarditis, an infection of the heart. To survive, Jax requires a splenectomy, a surgical procedure to remove his spleen, and a rigorous in-patient treatment with intravenous antibiotics.
Jax isn't just another good boy. He's a symbol of hope. Steve found Jax when Jax needed it most. This time, after a recent traumatic family loss, Steve needs Jax.
Steve has depleted his savings account for the preliminary tests. I am asking (begging) for a little help getting him and Jax over the finish line.
I created an account for Steve, and this fundraiser will be owned by him as soon as it's live. I wasn't able to upload the screen shot of the vet's estimated charges to this description, however, Steve can provide this, as well as other artifacts upon request. Please use the direct message features to contact him.
Thank you all for taking the time to read. God bless
