Hi! My name is Dee and I am doing a fundraising on behalf of a family friend.

His name is Feliciano Masongsong, a 74 year-old father and grandfather. He was involved in a car accident in July 2021 in the Philippines, suffered a spine injury and consequently, caused a minor heart attack which paralyzed his whole body. He was hospitalized for a month. After a week being out of the hospital, his arms and legs started swelling and he started to feel an increasing pain on his knees and stomach. He was admitted back to the hospital. After running a series of tests, the doctors found that his heart was enlarged, had pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs) and internal bleeding in his stomach. To prevent further complications, the doctor advised to put an IVC filter that prevents blood clots in other parts of his body. He has been on continuous medication for two months now and his family could no longer financially sustain his medications. Hospital bills have accumulated to Php700,000.00 due to the serious medical procedures he had undergone. As there is no insurance in the Philippines, the family have to pay all hospital expenses and medications.

 

The family wants to do everything to save his life knowing that their Tatay (dad) is a fighter. With much prayer and a humble heart, I am writing this message on their behalf to knock on your generous hearts and ask for your financial support so that Feliciano can receive continuous treatment.
