Please Help Save Chili's Life

My name is Steve Bither, and I'm the founder of Street Cat Foundation. We are a registered 501c3 charity that feeds, saves, and protects the homeless cats of Dallas.

I got a call today from a friend that was walking her dog and found a cat injured and scared in a corner. She said he wasn't looking good at all, so I jumped in my car and raced over there. I'm so thankful for my friend calling me because when I got there, Chili was in a corner soaked in chemicals, shaking and scared, and was unable to move. I grabbed my animal gloves and scooted closer to him inch by inch hoping he wouldn't run away. The closer I got I realized that the strong smell was Fabuloso, he was bleeding from his mouth and his back paw. Then I realized that someone had tried to drown him in this chemical and after I got a closeup look of him and his suffering I knew I had to act fast. He looked at me and knew I was going to try and help him so he let me pick him up and put him in the carrier. My charity partner showed up and said we need to race him to the hospital now. I got Chili in the car and raced to Veterinary Emergency Group.

As soon as I walked into the hospital the staff was amazing. The vet techs took action, started an oxygen tube, bathed him asap, got him warm with more oxygen, got him pain medication and on an IV. Turns out the bleeding from his lips weren't from being hit, it was from chemical burns. He also had chemical burns on his gums and his tongue going down into his throat. Turns out that some person tried to drown this beautiful sweet kitty in Fabuloso!!! Chili is stable for now and I am hoping that his body will fight this poision. His medical care is super expensive and will need help once he leaves the hospital too for meds, boarding till I find him a home (hopefully I can find a foster), more tests, etc.

I can't believe that someone tried to kill and drown this poor cat. He is the sweetest kitty and he was so good while the techs worked on him. As he laid on the table listening to my voice and me petting his soaked head I kept telling him it's going to be okay, that I got you now buddy, and I'm going to save you. Please, I need your help, anything that you can donate to Chili for his medical care would be much appreciated. If you want to see more info on my charity you can do so on my website www.StreetCatFoundation.com . Thank you everyone for the love and suppport. I will keep you all updated.
