Hello reptile lover
At Reptile Rescue UK, we know that change starts with people like you. Every act of kindness, every dollar, and every moment of your time brings us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all.
Bob the beast is a Iguana and needs a urgent operation for a abscess ( If you would like to see pictures please let us know as we will not post them here.
Bob came to us about 6 months ago and did not have the best start in life ( 10 Years ) he was taken for an emergency vet appointment when we got him and got the all clear apart from very thin and shed issues.
Bob got all the treatment he needed and 3 months later he got his forever home and we was over the moon that we got him to someone who had the time for him.
7th June 2026 we got a call about bob that he had a problem with his back leg, So we did what we always do, we drove 100 miles to go and see bob and bring him back to our rescue for treatment.
After we got bob home we got him into Liverpool University reptile vets and our worst nightmare came to light as bob has what is now believed to be a abscess that could kill him if not treated.
Bob has had blood tests done and at the time of writing waiting for the results and we have medication for him for the next 30 days, However it is 99% for sure he will need to have a major operation to remove it and we are putting all our trust in the Vets to get the job done so we can get bob back home to recover before letting him go back to his forever home where he will recover in his own time.
Everyone who helps will be kept updated on how bob is doing in out weekly update via email.
