Amy is a very special little five year old who lives with her grand parents, Dan and Nancy. Two years ago her mom went to heaven. Now they are her entire life. However, because of circumstances beyond her control, Amy may now lose her home, and even the grand parents who love her so much. 

These are very good people who are temporarily going through very difficult times. They live here in the Raleigh Durham North Carolina area. Any of you reading this are welcome to contact me if needed. This family has been through a lot.  In fact, more than most, which is why they deserve our help.

My name is James. I've launched this effort to help our friends save their home and preserve little Amy's world.

Amy's grand parents are middle aged professionals who have both found themselves temporarily out of work, and out of resources.

Dan lost his job due to down sizing. He's seeking full time employment and hopes to have a new job soon. His unemployment ran out and he's working two part time jobs, and doing what ever he can to earn money to pay their expenses, but it isn't near enough.

Nancy was a school teacher, but three years ago she suffered a serious stroke. She has made great progress, but will probably never teach again. Her full time job now, is caring for Amy.

Amy lives with her grand parents full time. Her mother, a single mom, died in a auto accident two years ago. Her dad died in Afghanistan. Amy and her mom lived with Nancy and Dan, so they took over Amy's care when their daughter died.  Amy is the center of their world. But right now, that world is very threatened.

They're up against a deadline that will destroy it, if we can't help them. That deadline is Friday, December 9th.

Dan and Nancy are very caring people who've always worked for what they have . They've always been willing to help others in need, and have done so many times.

They've never asked for charity, and aren't asking now, even though they desperately need your help. That's why I'm asking for them. They've found themselves in a bad situation that they didn't ask for, but one that they're diligently trying to work their way out of. Their resources are exhausted and they're alone. They have no one to turn to, no family, and no credit left to use.

Dan has been doing the best he can but now things are now severely past due. Although he's confident he'll be employed again soon, it won't be in time to help.

If we can't quickly raise the money they need, Amy and her grand parents will lose their home.  They have no where to go, and no money to move with. That means that they stand to lose everything, including their family. 

They fear that if they find themselves homeless, child services may step in and put Amy in foster care. We can't let that happen. Amy, and indeed the entire family, has lost too much already.

At this time of year, with all the love and charity that most of us try to give to others, please help us put a little bit of that love where it will do a lot of good for a very deserving family.

Your donation today will go directly to help pay their past due rent and provide a small amount to give little Amy something special for Christmas.  It will help guarantee Amy the safety and security of her home, and show them how much you care.
