Please help save Aki Hero therapy dog, bitten by tiger snake

Hi, my name is Yolandi, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our beloved dog Aki.

Aki is our 3-year-old therapy dog, and a hero in every sense of the word. Both of my children live with Autism and PTSD, and Aki has been their constant source of comfort, security, and healing after we escaped a traumatic situation of family violence. He’s more than just a pet — he’s family, a protector, and an emotional lifeline.

On Friday night, Aki was bitten by a tiger snake while protecting us, his family. Thanks to his bravery, we are all safe — but he paid the price. He survived the first 24 hours, which is a miracle in itself, but the vet bills have already reached $3,000, and we simply can’t afford ongoing hospital care. I’m now doing my best to care for him at home, following the vet’s guidance, but he still urgently needs medical support and medication to make a full recovery.
