Please Help Save 1 Day Old Abandoned Kittens!

Donation protected

My best friends Rae and Megan have been on a topsy turvy, rescue journey with a million ups and even more downs for the better part of a year. After diligently fostering an extraordinarily high number of kittens given to them by an established rescue, only with the understanding and promise that they were going to be taking over and running said rescue and would have the resources needed. But at the last minute, they were abruptly blindsided and were left adrift and alone with 26 rescue kittens, and all the costs that come with them.

They have continued to give every bit of themselves, emotionally, and physically, as well as every last penny they have, to take care of their rescues while they build a brand new rescue organization from the ground up. A loose idea of the costs they ensure, if we just talked about the basics, food, litter, and supplies, their average weekly cost to care for the cats is at a minimum of $800. The medical supplies can and usually are double that if not more.

Their brand new registered rescue Kisses not Hisses Animal Rescue, is their swan song and is nearly at the 501c3 finish line. They have pushed themselves to make their rescue happen, despite all the challenges that they have continued to face including, losing little kittens, and precious souls that never thrived. They saw themselves in the middle of a panleukopenia scare, after one of those souls faded away and despite everyone telling them there was no hope for the rest of their kittens, as panleukopenia is deadly ..no matter what, they refused for that to be the answer so they hunkered down, and quarantined with their kittens and for two weeks took shifts sleeping a few minutes while they kept not only the fading kittens alive but all of them.

Then they were hit with what felt like a never-ending bout of ringworm which affected the entire rescue. All the while they stood strong and never turned a cat or kitten in need away despite having no backing and no funding other than what they could provide on their own.

Then just today they received a call about 4 baby kittens, only a day old still all connected to their umbilical cords, and no mother to feed them. They couldn't say no.

They will be spending every day and night for the next month or more working in shifts round the clock bottle feeding these sweet darling kittens to keep them alive.

If you know these two, you know that they would go to the ends of the earth to save an animal in need, but after all, they have been through and now with the neonates, they are desperate for any help that can come their way.

Any level of support can make a life-changing difference for these little ones that are in dire need of expensive emergency care. Your generosity will give them a fighting chance. I am asking everyone to please help Megan and Rae save these precious lives, as well as give them their best shot to continue providing for the needs of the cats and kittens in their care until they can be adopted into their furvever homes.
