❤Please Help Sarah Put Her Sick Dog To Rest ❤
Hello everyone... listen, we need your help. As some of you already know, my girlfriend Sarah Young Adams is (and has long been) a proud dog owner/parent. She got Caprice (Preecy for short) in 2014 as a young pup and raised her herself, and has always, since day one, maintained a singular, unbreakable connection with Caprice. The two have been inseparable for almost a decade, so to say that they have shared a close bond would be putting it mildly.
As anybody who knows her could attest, Caprice is Sarah's world. Sarah has always been a supreme dog-Mom; she's very, very in-tune with Preecy's needs, health and emotions. She can read her dog like a mother can read their babies' emotions and tell what they need instantly, on sight. Preecy is not just a "dog" to her. She is family. There's nothing she would not do for Caprice's well-being and happiness... and so, some incredibly sad and scary news she recently received at Preecy's latest vet appointment was, and is, intensely profound and life-changing for her, and she's really going through an extremely difficult time right now since getting the following bad news:
Last week, Sarah discovered that Preecy is sick with a formidable type of cancer. It's an anal gland tumor: an inherently aggressive malignant tumor (of unfortunately considerable size) that has already had a marked physical effect on Caprice's level of comfortability. It's getting harder and harder for her to digest and pass food without extreme levels of discomfort, and the poor girl is clearly less excitable, less active, displaying several telltale signs of pain and discomfort. Now, this tumor is essentially at so advanced a state that Preecy's condition is past the point of any sort of mitigation or possible treatment options.
The thing is, as much as we want to jump up and save Caprice with some expensive surgeries and radiation treatments we really obviously cannot afford (AND which aren't guaranteed a favorable outcome it wouldn't be fair to her to put her through the prolonged suffering, pain and discomfort, confusion and so on. Having said that, Sarah has made the incredibly tough but most- spiritually-responsible decision to agree to have Caprice put to sleep, and very soon.
The problem is, she's left three choices. She could have Preecy's remains frozen for the winter until the ground thaws out come spring; She could have the vet dispose of her remains in a cold, unceremonious way that frankly would never be an option anyway; or, she could have Caprice cremated and keep her ashes.
We've discussed it at length, and the question isn't what to do, but how Sarah's going to afford the cost of the euthanasia, and the cremation fee... that is the reason for this campaign.
Every donation of any amount would be a huge help, and I really just want to do everything I can to help Sarah Put Preecy to rest as gently, and humanely, as possible; but also, to honor the life of Caprice, and hopefully bring some measure of closure to Sarah, and to everyone who loves Caprice as well.
We ask you to help us to help Sarah be able to take her baby's ashes home. We don't have much time to come up with the euthanasia fee ($200) and the cremation fee ($400-450), We didn't know what else to do in such a short time, so I decided to make this in the hopes that it does indeed help make this happen for her. Anything at all you can help her with is beyond appreciated!!
Thank you all so much, if you aren't in a position to donate, we understand 100%, you can still help us big-time by clicking 'Share' and re-sharing this post.
