Hello my name is Alejandra and this is my mother Sara. She was diagnosed with ALS in November of 2022. As we all know ALS does not have any sort of treatment or cure. Unfortunately due to her ALS progressing really fast in March of 2023 we had to bring her to the ER where she later had to be placed on a ventilator and had a feeding tube placed in her stomach. As her health declines more and more rapidly she needs more care. Due to all the extensive medical treatment that she has needed to keep her comfortable it is extremely expensive and her insurance is no longer covering most of her care. Between my father and I we are trying to do everything in our power to keep her as happy and comfortable as possible, we do not want to see her suffer.
