Hello, my name is Sandra Simiyu. I’m 28 and from Kenya.

I have a large uterine fibroid (14cm in diameter) that is causing severe pain, heavy bleeding, fatigue, and putting my ability to have children at risk. It has grown so much that I look 6 months pregnant.

My doctors say I urgently need surgery, but the cost is 500,000 KES (about $4,000), which I cannot afford. My insurance doesn’t cover fibroid surgery.
