Hi, my name is Deborah and my daughter Sami was born with Cystic Fibrosis. CF is a genetic disorder that effects primarily the lungs but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys and intestines. There is no cure. When she was diagnosed at 5 months of age her life expectancy was 17.... she turns 33 in a months time. We are so thankful that she has exceeded those doctors’ expectations but she still has her challenges, especially with the current pandemic leaving her no choice but to self isolate.



Sami currently lives by herself and is fiercely independent. She wants nothing more than to live a normal life as an independent woman but her current place of residence is not the best for her health and moving is not an easy option at the moment. She desperately needs an air purifier to help her breathing as her lung function and asthma are steadily getting out of hand.

The fundraising goal:

The air purifier, IQAir Healthpro 250 NE, is designed to run on low 24/7 with hospital grade filtration, purifying 99% of pollution particles.

If we exceed the target amount for the air purifier we will be looking to get her residence mould treated as we know that is also adding to her elevated respiratory issues. We are not yet sure what the cost of that will be but any extra funds will go a long way in contributing to the treatment of mould spores.
