Our Story
Earlier this year, I received a phone call no one ever expects to get. It was my husband calling me to say that he had been shot during an attempted mugging. In an instant, he went from the ability to run 70 miles a week to not feeling his right leg at all. After sustaining multiple life-threatening injuries and undergoing several successful surgeries, we were left wondering about the future.
Over the last few months, we've gone from no feeling/movement in his leg, to wiggling toes, to dorsiflexion, to ambulating with a wheelchair, to walking with crutches, to limping, and to walking without a medical device. Now, we are ready to run!
Our Request
Please help my husband run again. We are raising $10,000 to go toward the cost of medical insurance that will pay for physical therapy and medication (particularly for the nerve pain he experiences in his foot).

Our enrollment date begins August 12th, and we will be raising money until the end of this year. Even if you cannot donate, thank you for reading this all the same. There have been many times when we've both felt like this thing that came into our lives would, without warning, swallow us up whole.
