This is one of the hardest things I have had to do, but I have a very dear friend ( Ronda Krom ) who had a life altering accident last Tuesday on 8/17/21. Both Ronda and her husband work at a barn, and they where wrapping up the day when Ronda decided to fix a Hayloft at the last minute. In a blink of an eye , Ronda's world was turned upside down when she slipped and fell through the Hayloft (16feet ) to the cement floor below. All her husband Dan heard was a scream that tore through his body. After running over to her, not knowing whether his beloved wife of 25 years was still alive or not. Ronda survived the 16 foot fall , but has sustained multiple fractures and injuries:

Closed Displaced Fracture of the left scapula

Closed fracture of the left distal radius

Closed fracture of the first & second cervical vertabra

Closed fracture of the left zygomatic arch

Fracure of the lateral orbital wall, left side

Closed fracture of transverse process of lumbar vertebra

Bilateral Subdural hematomas

Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Laceration of left knee

Ronda has spent the last week in the Neuro Suite @ Wilson Hospital. Today they placed a Halo on her head to stabalize the cervical fractures, and will be transferring her to an Inpatient rehab facility where the intense therapy will begin. This is going to be a minium of a 6 month - 1 year recovery. Ronda works at a barn, as well as having horses of her own to take care of. Ronda and her Husband (Dan ) are what I call salt of the earth people. I am please asking for help, as this is going to be very long physical, mental , and financially draining period for them.
