Supporting Robert Lavoie in His Final Journey

My brother, Robert Lavoie, has always been the kind of person who could fix just about anything. For years, he has worked as a mechanic for Saskatoon Transit, keeping the buses that move our community running safely and smoothly. Outside of work, his passion for cars has always shone through—whether he was tinkering under the hood of a vehicle or lending a hand to a friend in need, Robert’s heart has always been as strong as his hands.

Recently, our family received the devastating news that Robert has been diagnosed with terminal stage four pancreatic cancer. He is now in palliative care, focusing on making the most of the time he has left. Despite the challenges he faces daily, Robert continues to show the strength, humor, and resilience that have defined him throughout his life.

We have created this GoFundMe to help support Robert in his final journey. The funds raised will go towards making his remaining days as comfortable and meaningful as possible, covering palliative care costs, day-to-day needs, and hopefully giving him a chance to create lasting memories with those who love him most.

Robert has spent his life giving to others—through his work, his talents, and his kindness. Now, we’re asking for help in giving back to him. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and help ease the burdens during this difficult time.
