Hi, my name is Karla Sandifer and I started a GoFundMe to help a dear friend of ours named Rick Trent. Rick went into the hospital on August 6th, 2025, for heart surgery, and when the procedure was done, his health really started declining. He developed pneumonia and was heavily sedated for a long period of time while in critical condition in ICU. He was put on a ventilator and was fighting to breathe. He has not gotten to leave the hospital; he’s been in all this time, and as you all may know, Rick owns his home and has bills due along with medical bills piling up. His roommate has been working two jobs and busting her tail daily to take care of Rick, be with him when she can, and take care of the home all while working. Money is tight since this has all happened. Rick has a very long road ahead of him. As of today, he’s got a trachea in and is just struggling to keep his levels where they should be. The recovery for him is gonna be tough; he’s gonna have to learn to walk again, talk, use his arms, etc. There will be so much therapy involved. Rick is such a wonderful man/friend anyone can ask for; he would give you the shirt off his back to help anyone. If you possibly can donate to help him, I know he would be so grateful; we would all be grateful. I’m making his roommate the beneficiary of this fundraiser because she’s basically handling finances for him at the moment. Thank you to everyone.
