It is with a heavy heart, I come to tell you our Brother, Friend, Fiancé, Son & Father gained his angel wings today, January 9, 2022.

He fought the most courageous battle for just over a year. He had a very adventurous year with his Fiancé Marilyn & the kiddos. Richard was very tired and in so much pain. He was finally able to get comfortable and went to sleep peacefully. His very loving soul & humor will be missed by so many.
Please keep his Fiancé & kiddos, as they grieve the loss of such an amazing soul, in your thoughts. If you can help ease the stress of funeral expenses, medical bills that accumulated or meals for his Family it would be greatly appreciated. A meal train has been started. All the support over this past year has been very much appreciated.
On the evening of December 27th, 2020 Richard went to the emergency room not feeling well. The Doctors discovered there was a mass on his liver, blocking his gallbladder. He was then sent to OHSU in Portland, 3 hours from home, by ambulance. Richard has spent the last nearly two weeks at OHSU with the feeling of the unknown. January 6th, 2021 he was given a diagnosis nobody wants to hear let alone fight, Stage 4 Hepatocellular Carcinoma, (HCC). At this point there is a good chance Richard will be traveling to Maryland for treatment @ Johns Hopkins. There is only one other study in the country besides Johns Hopkins. HCC is very rare.
Please continue to pray as we stand beside Him on his journey. We've got a long road ahead. We appreciate all the continued support from Family & Friends. We love you all.
If you can, please help Richard and his Family relieve some financial stress while He fights his battle.
I will continue to update as we know more. Thank you all for your support during this time.
