This weekend Bertie turns 3, he is looking forward to his pawty as this is a far cry from his early life.
Bertie was one of a large litter from an overbred mother, was unsold as a pup and at five months the puppy farmer threatened to shoot him and the other pups he couldn’t sell.
Bertie sat in a rescue kennel for ages, adopted once but even returned. Why?
Well, as you can see he has lower limb deformity in both front legs. The minute we saw Bertie we fell hopelessly in love with him and promised him the best life.
Fast forward to today, and our sweet boy needs surgery on both legs.
Whilst our insurance has covered some tests and X-rays, they will not cover the operations.
We are doing several fundraising activities, including a high abseil.
We’d be so grateful if you are able to help us to help Bertie in any small way possible.
We want to put the spring back in Bertie’s step and get him pain free and ready to go back running around the fields again.
Huge love and thanks
