Please Help Replace A Broken Laptop

So, my laptop has been on its last legs for the better part of a year. The picture above only shows the external damage, but I've also had a lot of issues with overheating (even on a laptop desk with built-in fans). I've been wanting to replace it, but I've had to use my tax money to catch up on other bills.

As for why I'm fundraising, I'm a writer, blogger, and I do transcription whenever I'm able to. I also have plans to take online classes soon and will need a reliable laptop to do so. Having a reliable laptop also means I'll be able to make a living from creating content.

Those who know me will tell you I'm the type to hate asking for help. It's very difficult for me to even write this.  However, with multiple health problems (mental and physical), it's difficult to find suitable employment (which hasn't stopped me from looking. Believe me, most of my days are spent applying for jobs and fine-tuning my resume). That being said, I'm aware there are others out there with more difficult problems and I completely understand if people would rather donate their money elsewhere.
