April 25, 2025, Randy Wade’s home was damaged beyond repair due to a storm system with softball size hail and tornados. Randy has owned his current home since 2012 and has lived in Whitharral, TX his entire life. At 70 years old, he relies on Social Security, working for the USDA agricultural statistic service as a numerator, and DoorDash. Randy works these jobs to make ends meet while being partially disabled due to 42 years of farming which he was forced to retire out of in 2015. Because of the remote location of his home and it being a mobile home, he was unable to carry homeowners insurance which has exacerbated these circumstances. Through his 13 years living in this home, storms have repeatedly degraded the condition of the structure causing needs for continual repairs and short-term fixes due to low income and his mobility issues.
After this storm, his home is now in need of replacement. Our goal is to raise the funds required to get him a little RV because he already has a place he can hook it up to on his land. A new bumper pull RV would be a perfect option for him and allow him to finally enjoy the years of retirement ahead of him.
Randy’s home was always a safe haven for his children and their friends over the years. He is a provider for those around him and cares deeply about his community. This specific plot of land has been in his family for generations and has always been dear to him as he has watched both his kids and now his grandchildren grow and experience life in the same place that he was raised.
Now, with your help, we would like to try and give back to Randy during his time of need for all the opportunities that he has made possible for the people surrounding him.
