Bonnie Basden is setting up this campaign to help with medical expenses for her nephew Ramon Been. Ramon has been handicapped all of his life and was diagnosed with Strumpell Lorrain Disease and has been confined to a wheelchair. Ramon now has a hernia in his chest that has been giving him excruciating pain and difficulty breathing and discomfort for the last 2 years.
He now has to have surgery to remove the hernia and the public hospital the Rand Memorial Hospital since Hurrican Dorian in inadequate to facilitate this surgery. Ramon has to go to a private hospital the Sunrise Medical Center to have this surgery. The Medical Center is charging $7,550 for the use of its facilities and will not entertain a payment plan. It must be paid upfront 100%. Also the Doctor bill is $4,000 and the anaesthesia is $2,500.
We are humbly requesting and donation so that Ramon can have this procedure and enjoy a better quality of life.
