Hi,

My name is Adrian Leu, I'm starting this fundraising for our friend and active member of our community Radu Coman.

He should celebrate 61 years of a happy life on Apr 30, but 1 year ago he got sick. Very sleepy at the beginning, then blooding through nose and mouth, then worse and worse. Radu got diagnosed with Hepatic Cirrhosis.

Last December he was taken to the ER in a coma. Luckily, he came back with us 10 days later.

Presently he is on the list for a liver transplant at Duke in Raleigh, NC.

Adriana, his wife for 3 years, is working at a hotel. Her income barely covers basic bills and food. They cannot afford the transplant. She feared for his life in December and she is grateful now to see him still alive.

Here are a few words from Adriana:

"Three years ago, two souls wounded by life, or determined to intertwine their destinies, still hoping for one last happiness, not knowing that, after only two years, the cruel wind of fate will shatter their hope, bringing into their lives an ocean of feelings; from the hope of each extra day to the despair of each coma day, from the tears of pain for life to the tears of pain for each medical intervention.

After 10 days of coma, when everything seemed hopeless, God gave them another chance and kneeling before God, they said to themselves "Until death do us part"... "

Radu was very involved and helped us with all of our community events. Making jokes and laughing all the time.
