Please Help Provide Life Saving Meds for Chai
Donation protected
I've had personal difficulties in the past year, and adopted a pair of rescue kittens for emotional support. They have been a delight until a few weeks ago when one started acting strangely. He is lethargic and refuses to eat, his eyes dilated and cloudy. A few trips to the vet revealed he has Feline Infectious Peritonitis, a viral disease that until recently, euthanization was the only option available.
Chai was a feral kitten trapped in a local casino parking lot. He found humans so frightening that he would lunge and spit, earning himself the name of "People Eater." After long months of intense socialization, he blossomed into an affection seeking sweetheart. Along with my three human children, we found him a feline playmate, a perfect match with similar markings and similar feral beginnings. They were inseparable, playing and grooming each other constantly. Chai's best friend Mars cannot understand why he is so sick recently and doesn't want to engage in play.
Please help us with the cost of life saving injections, which will run at least $2000. Bloodwork and supportive care will run another $500. It's terrible to put a price tag on a beloved family member's life. But this little guy has been such a good friend to me, and is so treasured by everyone that we have to fight for him. ❤️
