Hi, my names Brianna and my rescue cat, Pierce, who is only five just suffered from a sudden stroke. We aren’t certain of the prognosis but given his young age and livelihood we wanted to give him a fighting chance.

 

Pierce means the world to me, my partner Chris, and his twin brother Tristan. I wanted to do whatever was possible to avoid making a premature call to have him put to sleep without allowing the time for recovery from this. However, the 24-72 hour window it takes to allow him to potentially recover from this stroke involves being hospitalized at a critical care level. Because of this our current estimate for just 48hrs is already bordering 3.8k. With his condition being unpredictable, we’re still unsure of any further costs to come, such as additional hospitalizations, seeing a neurologist to get an MRI, physical therapy, etc. and being on a tight income, we’re putting ourselves in debt to help him have the best chances possible.

I know many others out there are in the same financial situations but I’ll be truly grateful if anyone can spare anything to alleviate the financial stress atop of the emotional stress we’re currently going through.
