Please Help Philip Save His Bunny, Einstein

Donation protected

Einstein is my dear friend, Philip Gilberti's, service bunny of 5 years. I found him abandoned with two other small bunnies at Lake Balboa Park one night. Philip adopted him from me. They are a truly bonded pair. Sadly, Philip suffers from a spinal chord injury from terrible car accident and many botched surgeries. His one arm is paralyzed and his life is at home 24/7 with Einstein who was designated by a physician as a true service animal. They are so in love with each other.

As some other bunnies, Einstein has "sludge" which means the bladder does not empty and eventually becomes blocked and rabbits die a painful death. He was caught in the nick of time and taken to Conejo Vets, the best of "exotic" veterinarians in Southern California. Rabbit medical care is extremely expensive due to their delicate systems.

Einstein was rushed to the hospital on Sunday, May 10th, which also was Philip's 46th birthday. It was so scary thinking he was losing his best friend in the world who was helping him stay alive. He had to immediately put down his $1,200 stimulus check. Being on SSI this is extremely difficult to pay. His CARE Credit card is already high from other visits to the vet. Philip had to rush them his last $1,000 today to keep the support going. The vets feel Einy is on the mend, but the only way to ensure that is to continue the veterinary care until he is released.  Everyday the bill increases of course.

Right now vet bill has risen to $3,444 - See Einstein's vet bill here , part of which Philip has paid as stated, but he needs money to survive as SSI pays very little. Conejo does not accept direct payments from third parties, so that's why we are doing this GoFundMe. It's the most important birthday present I can give Philip and Einstein to keep them together, especially during this sad quarantine.

Art donations to you for your generosity! A unique part of this fundraiser is that my dear friend, Stuart Rosen, of www.sturosenart.com, has kindly offered to donate some of his gorgeous animal ink sketch art prints for gifts of $25-$49.99 and matted prints to anyone who makes gifts of $50+ . See images here on Stu's site.

For anyone really touched by this plea who can donate $250+ to help Einstein, Stuart would be honored to do an original of your own pet, matted and mailed to you.  (Check his work on Instagram @StuRosenArt and visit his website
https://www.sturosenart.com/pages/commissions). I will pay for shipping or arrange to deliver if we are close/know each other. There is even a darling piece Stuart did of Einy.

Thank you in advance for gifts of any amount to help this magical and sweet duo return home and be together again.

Please write me at [email redacted] if donating an amount that will receive an art piece. Please provide your mailing information and telephone number. Due to Covid issues, I will pick up at end of campaign and mail at one time. We appreciate your patience. If you want to add in a little for S&H or the merchant fees, that is greatly appreciated.

Philip thanks you so much. He cannot possibly do this fundraiser due to his own health issues and worries over Einy. If you cannot give at this time, please say some prayers for them both – that would be so appreciated.  Thank you.
