My brother and your friend, Phil Woods recently fell in his apartment. Thankfully a dear friend found him or he might not still be with us. He is recovering in a rehab center in Denver.

After a rich life of teaching, writing poetry, and activism Phil is in need of assisted living due to medical challenges. He will be moving to assisted living in Denver soon, and needs help with upfront move-in costs.

Phil has given much in his life. He inspired young and old through history teaching at Denver's South High and later substitute teaching. Phil has been an active member of the Romero Troupe, a performing group who raise awareness of labor and social justice issues, for 20 years. He has published seven books and chapbooks of poetry bringing beauty and social challenge to readers.

Now he needs your help in whatever way fits. Any financial support would be most gratefully received.
