Please Help Pepe Through His Cancer Treatment Journey

Hi Everyone,

Our names are Jenny and Diana. Two years ago, our family lost our mother to cancer. It has been the most difficult time, and we are still grieving her absence. It has been especially challenging for our father, Pepe. Lately, he has been struggling to eat and has lost over 30 pounds. Two weeks ago, we received the devastating news that he has stage 3 stomach cancer. After what we have been through with our mother, this diagnosis is sad and scary for us, but we are trying to remain hopeful.

Pepe is one of the kindest, most loving, hardworking people we know. He is a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. The last two years have been extremely hard for him as he has faced the loss of his wife and one of his sons in Ecuador. Now, he must deal with stress and pain of cancer yet again.

Once he begins chemotherapy and eventually has surgery, he won't be able to work for a while. We are setting up this Go Fund Me to help ease daily living costs while our father undergoes treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Your donations will also help cover travel to and from the hospital on appointment days.

Hace dos años, mi familia perdió a mi madre por cáncer. Ha sido un momento muy difícil y aún lamentamos su ausencia. Ha sido especialmente difícil para mi padre, Pepe. Últimamente, le cuesta comer y ha perdido más de 30 libras. Hace dos semanas, recibimos la terrible noticia de que tiene cáncer de estómago en etapa 3. Después de lo que hemos pasado con nuestra madre, este diagnóstico nos entristece y nos asusta, pero intentamos mantener la esperanza.

Pepe es una de las personas más amables, cariñosas y trabajadoras que conocemos. Es un padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, tío y amigo muy querido. Los últimos dos años han sido extremadamente duros para él, ya que ha enfrentado la pérdida de su esposa y uno de sus hijos en Ecuador. Ahora, debe lidiar una vez más con el estrés y el dolor del cáncer.

Una vez que comience la quimioterapia y, finalmente, se opere, no podrá trabajar por un tiempo.
