Please Help Penny Get Her Knees Repaired!

Hi, my name is Justin and I am fundraising for my best friend, Penny. She is a 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier, and she the sweetest dog that I, as well as my family and friends have ever known.

Her favorite activities are chasing lizards and going for long walks with me and her little brother, Bowser. She is also the reigning tug-o-war champ!

I recently noticed that she started limping so I immediately took her to the vet. She has ruptured cranial cruciate ligaments in both back knees and both require surgery. I was quoted about $8,000 for this procedure for both knees. As of right now I'm trying to do my best to raise money for her to get one knee done since the surgeon recommended fixing one knee at a time to make the healing process easier on her.

As of late she has been on several anti-inflammatories/pain killers and she just hasn't been the same. She is sleeping almost all day every day and I can see in her eyes that she is in pain. I miss her sweet little smile cheering everyone up. She deserves to be happy and healthy and I'll do whatever it takes to make sure it will happen. I have to carry her around and pick her up to put her on the couch/bed and it breaks my heart to see her like this. I'm even too concerned to play with her because it put's so much stress on her.

I can't even express how happy I am that I have the opportunity to use this site to hopefully help her out. Even the smallest donation makes a world of a difference for us. Penny is family and we are stuck together like glue. We won't leave each other's side. Please consider helping out in any way because she is a staple of so many peoples lives. Up until this point she has been the happiest dog ever and she deserves to live the rest of her life that way.
